Hold Me Tight
Thanks to everyone for coming out to Hold Me Tight: A Partner Climb Event! We had a great time climbing together and solving some new challenges on February 14th. These partner routes will still be accessible for the next month, and we definitely recommend checking them out with a friend or partner!

Ribbon Cutting
Last Friday, we hosted our official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony! Business owners and community members joined us for coffee, networking, and to hear why climbing is so important to us. We’re thrilled to make Hillsboro a healthier, happier place by making Bouldering more accessible. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!

Beyond the Grave Bash Results!
After a spirited competition, we have determined the final results for our last competition. We want to thank everyone again for participating in such a fun night of climbing and community, and we look forward to seeing you both on and beyond the wall!

Goat Vote 2024!
After over 100 name suggestions we have narrowed the choices to 5 options. The top names selected for voting are Frad, Goaty Mc Goat Face, Mr Tumnus, Rocky, or Toats Mc Goats. Starting Tuesday 8/27, climbers can let our front staff know their vote with every check-in. The more you climb the more times your can vote on your favorite name. We will update the website nightly with the vote tally so you can track leader. The name with the most votes as of 7:10pm on 9/10pm at our community night will be revealed at about 8pm in our event space. See you there!
Meet our Goat
Our gym has a small goat who loves to climb! You may see him hiding out on the walls. If you find him please help him find a new hiding spot on our climbing walls, let him stay where he is or return him to the front desk for a nap. We are looking for suggestions to name our goat. We will pick our favorites and have a vote for the final name selection.

July 4th Parade Hillsboro Oregon 2024
We were very excited to join the Hillsboro Rotory 4th of July parade this year just 3 weeks after opening our doors. Even though this was our very first experience putting together a parade float, we had a lot of fun building our miniature bouldering wall so Mikinna could show Hillsboro how awesome climbing is! Shout out to Escape Climbing for donating the plywood already set with T-nuts and making our build that much easier. Mikinna created several routes on our portable wall including an abstract American flag. It was so much fun to see everyone out there celebrating and all the amazing floats. Though we may have underestimated how much candy and fruit snacks to bring, we will be better prepared for next year!

Our Story
Meet the Founders! Two families. One dream.
We had each been working independently to bring a dedicated climbing gym to Hillsboro for many years. By chance, we met at the CWA trade show in Salt Lake City in 2022 and agreed to keep talking. After arriving back home in Hillsboro, we met up to share our respective visions over barbeque. After several meetings, we agreed that our varied experience and skill sets would make us a good team. We were off to get our collective dream of a local climbing gym off the ground.
Finding a home for our gym
One of the biggest hurdles we had to overcome was in finding a physical space for the gym. We vetted dozens of buildings over the course of many years that just couldn’t fit our oversize gym dreams. By chance we discovered an empty retail storefront near Shute Park that looked like it had promise. After measuring the ceilings and running a whole lot of numbers, we were able to lease Suite B2, now the home of Beyond The Wall Climbing. We went right to work; opening up the space and exposing the ceilings to get the height needed for our bouldering walls. The result is what you see today.
